Mission Statement
What is SCEET?
The South Counties Employer Employee Trust (SCEET) was formed in 1987. The Trust was formed on the belief that employee health care benefits could be effectively managed through cooperative efforts and equal control by labor and management. Through unity of design, purchase, and administration, trust participants have control over quality of care and cost. With labor and management joining forces, the trust has more negotiating power with providers than small, individual districts could ever attain.
Key goals of the Trust include:
- Introducing cost control programs that contribute to quality health care
- Allowing each participating district to choose benefit coverage to match the needs of employees
- Controlling premiums
Participation in the Trust is beneficial to everyone involved, unions, districts, associations, and employees. The primary benefits include:
- Cooperative joint management and labor administration
- Increased buying power available for both small and large districts. The purpose of the pool is to assist districts with obtaining coverage that meets their unique needs
How do I request a quote?
To receive a quote and additional information regarding participation in the South Counties Employer Employee Trust please provide the following:
Census (in Excel format on disk or via e-mail) which must include:
- Date of Data
- Gender, date of birth, dependant status, and home zip code
- Number of eligible, number enrolled, and plan employee enrolled in
- Employee status; must show hourly vs. salaried, active vs. retired, COBRA, and bargaining unit designation
Description of current benefits
(booklet, plan document, schedule of benefits)
Rate History (two years)
Monthly experience and enrollment (two years)
Based upon the information submitted, a proposal will be prepared by MVI Administrators, Inc. The SCEET plan administrator.
